Just a little past Casino Filipino and Bali Village Hotel along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway (coming from Manila/The Tagaytay Rotunda) is Hotel Monticello, a relatively new boutique hotel in Tagaytay City.
Hotel Monticello is in that same vicinity where Tides used to be, and strategically located in between the two busiest strips along the Tagaytay ridge. A short way heading towards Nasugbu, right before the Mendez Junction, you’ll find Tagaytay City’s famous row of bulalo restaurants. In the other direction, just past Skyranch and Robinsons Summit Ridge are your other popular restaurants (i.e. Josephine’s, Balay Dako, Fire Lake Grill, Buon Giorno, etc.)
Of the more famous Tagaytay City restaurants, Mushroom Burger is one of those closest to Hotel Monticello. (You can read more about Mushroom Burger here.)
The hotel has a number of accommodation arrangements available (around 40 rooms), from regular de luxe rooms to larger suites that can fit small families or may be used for wedding preps. There’s also a outdoor pool area, a function hall, and spa services.
Reviews of the establishment are (so far) generally favorable. Links to these reviews may be found below.
