Maliputo Served Sinigang-Style

Just like the tawilis, maliputo is a fish that is harvested from Taal Lake.  The maliputo is seasonal, however, so if you see it on a menu at a restaurant in Tagaytay, you may want to check for availability first.

On rainy nights (or cold summer nights), you might want to try it sinigang-style: a sour broth with lots of fresh veggies. You can have some over at Mer-Ben in Tagaytay City.
