If you’re a biking enthusiast, you’d probably be pleased to know that Megaworld Corporation has opened a brand new mountain bike trail over at their Twin Lakes property along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road in nearby Laurel, Batangas.
Located past Splendido Taal, and the road leading to Sonya’s Secret Garden, Twin Lakes Tagaytay is a 1,000+ hectare property of rolling terrain inspired by the well-known vineyards of Languedoc-Roussilon, Bordeaux and Provence in France.
Over the summer, the Mountain Bike Trail at Twin Lakes was opened to biking enthusiasts. The trail features a specially-designed 2.5 kilometer-long loop that can take riders through lush forest, or through foothills, with scenic views of the vineyard resort and of Taal Lake.
Twin Lakes’ Mountain Bike Trail also offers a variety of off-road cycling challenges, from fast downhill descents, berms, off camber turns, switchbacks, short and steep climbs and small bumps to swooping curves and sudden elevation changes, making it suitable for advanced riders.
Beginners in the sport of mountain biking can take a more leisurely ride, enjoying strategically stationed stopovers, where riders can rest while enjoying the cool breeze and scenic views of Taal Lake.
The Mountain Bike Trail also has free parking spaces, as well as a a variety of restaurants with all sorts of dining options and refreshments, great for a quick break just before heading back to the city.
How To Get There
Twin Lakes recommends a couple of options getting to the site: one via Cavitex, and the other via Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road.
Those using Cavitex, may head straight to Antero Soriano Highway after their exit, then turn left to General Trias Drive, then turn right to Governor Ferrer Drive, take another right turn to Mahogany Avenue before turning left to Tagaytay Nasugbu Highway.
Those coming from Tagaytay-Sta.Rosa Road can turn right to Tolentino East Tagaytay Road and head straight to Buho-Talon Road, then turn left to C. Delos Reyes Ave. and then make a right turn to Tagaytay-Nasugbu Road.
